Former two time World Heavyweight Champion Tim Witherspoon back The Cornermen appeal.
I opened the South Moreton Boxing Club over 16 years ago but in recent years, and particularly after lockdown, I’ve noticed that we’ve had many more people through the club suffering from anxiety, depression, PTSD, substance and alcohol abuse, and general bad mental health.
I really want to do something to make a positive impact on this situation.
Much of my experience over the last 20 years comes from working in services for the homeless. In those last two decades I have come across many instances of self-harm, people expressing suicidal thoughts, attempts and deaths from suicide -especially when support has been withdrawn.
One of the influential reasons behind the idea of The Cornermen.
I’ve been working as a Support Worker for around 7 years. It’s absolutely amazing to be able to support to others because at one stage in my life, I needed support so I know how it feels receiving it.
I’m proud to be a part of The Cornermen and I’m looking forward to helping improve people’s lives around the area.
Any donations are massively appreciated but there are other ways in which you can support The Cornermen.
