The construction industry is an industry with some of the highest suicide rates. Part of the Cornermen strategy is to address this is to visit on site, in order to talk straight and honestly about men’s mental health and suicide.
So Full credit to Kier construction for understanding this important issue and asking John and Steve to come and talk with their workers.
It was a great talk to do, with lots of engagement from the lads, and as you’d expect plenty of banter, but of course that’s what John & Steve love!
However that didn’t stop the message about recognising signs in ourselves and how it’s essential we talk getting across. The discussion was well received by the men that attended and they were a great bunch to meet.
